The past 2 weeks have been brand new job training, which has been awesome, but meant that I've had zero time to myself, have eaten and drank(en) a ridiculous amount, and...well, am back now.
Highlights:
awesome tapas dinner in Chicago
as well as this stellar breakfast at Franks 'n Dawgs - omgomgomg most amazing thing ever. Seriously:
1. Pork loin breakfast sausage with Cobb smoked bacon, fried egg & drizzled with maple may
2. Toasted black pepper lamb sausage, black pepper oyster sauce, buttermilk vinaigrette, macerated figs, red onions & basil
perfectly done filet mignon
endless chocolate cake
gorgeous salad bars all the time
Vietnamese lettuce wraps - delish
raspberry mojitos and sangria
a tater tot station. this means a plate of tots covered in melty cheese, scallions, and bacon. yeah.
Back in the city, will be back on the blog too =)

Great Greek Dinner
New job starts in two days! And then training! Which I have no materials for because I keep missing my FedEx man!
Got a ride to the FedEx warehouse thing out in way east Bronx, and then headed to the UWS to get dinner at this place Kefi. Crowded, so we started at the bar with tasty drinks...and then as I slid off the dumb barstool, got a MASSIVE plastic splinter underneath my nail and like, major painful chaos ensued.
Anyway, after all the drama and tweezering, split a very delicious meal featuring lots of feta, octopus, this stellar dish of sheep's milk dumplings, and an amazing piece of fall of the bone lamb. Oh my. Super yummy =)
