We semi-learned from last night and tried to order better...I think generally successfully (though there was like, a platter of paella left by the end of the meal, oh well)
Shrimp, octopus, sheep's cheese, meat plate thing, paella, salmon stuff, olives/pickles, stuffed peppers, lamb meatballs, bread & tomato olive oil, roasted veggies and a lovely pitcher of really yummy pear sangria
No ice cream to top off this meal hah =)

Sushi FEAST in Ohio
Got out of work "early"! Went on a search for great eats, we couldn't agree on anything until we saw this behemoth of a sushi restaurant and pounced...
Ordered food for many more people than the 3 that we were. Bad sentence. Seaweed salad, edamame, beef things, tons of sashimi, and an Ohio specialty - the deep fried sushi roll. Not like, a sushi roll with deep fried tempura inside. But an actual sushi roll that has then been battered and fried, and oh my it was absolutely delicious (of course).
And then I made the executive decision to see if Jeni's was still open...Jeni's is this amazing ice cream place I went to when I came to Columbus to interview years and years ago, and was introduced to this salty caramel ice cream that started my obsession with salted caramel everything. They were out tonight BUT I got Bourbon Buttered Pecan and a surprisingly great Goat Cheese with Cherries. Mmmm. Definitely excited to get fat on all this ice cream =)

Another good bye dinner!
Sigh another good bye dinner this Friday =(
Today was really awesome to be back in the office with everyone, lot's of fun and I was like, a gajillion times happier after a rough week. Went out for drinks after work to some random bar next to Szechuan Gourmet where I ran into ex BofA people and had a yummy spicy tequila drink thing...and then it started pouring but luckily Galen has a car! So we drove to Barrio Chino, which I've actually wanted to try for awhile, but even in this nasty pouring rain weather, there was a two hour wait...yeah right.
Went to this place called Casa del Portal and pigged out on Mexican food - guac and salsa and shrimp tacos, steak and tongue tacos, and maybe some other stuff who knows. Definitely good rainy weather meal =)
And then lost friend number 2!

Good bye dinner =(
Tonight was good bye dinner for Jen before she headed down to Chapel Hill...went to Awash, an Ethiopian place down near St. Mark's and pigged out on a massive meat & veggie combo and delicious honey wine.
Mmm super great meal - I think I've only had Ethiopian once before and it wasn't that great of an experience (the sour bread stuff just tasted weird), but this was really fantastic. Also really weird and sad that Jen's LEAVING, can't really wrap my head around that =(

mmm sushi
For something named Ooki, Ooki Sushi turned out to be super delicious. Dinner w JP (and girl) after not seeing him in like, 4 months, we wandered down 3rd ave on the hunt for a good sushi place and decided to go in here based off of one Yelp review that referenced an "out of control roll." Which turned out to be a great decision-making calculus and a great sushi roll =)
Mmm so much fatty tuna and there was salmon wrapped in seared salmon. Overall delicious, i.e. melted in your mouth and perfect fish to rice ratio =) Then Emack & Bolio's for some great ice cream! And then late night beer at Jones Wood where I snagged a yummy Tetley's cream ale! Yay Saturday haha.

Pio Pio feast!
Headed to get a burger and a beer after work with Angela, Mona, and Christine...but were unpleasantly surprised by the bartender: "out of burgers." !!!
Luckily got over that and headed to Pio Pio where we ordered the Matador combo and split it amongst the 4 of us (and we were all super full at the end) and we paid like, $10 each. Awesome. Reminder, this is the combo that I previously split with 2 other people, in addition to an appetizer and another entree. Yeah...
Anyway, the chicken was delicious as usual, and I'm becoming a quick fan of their salchipapas (yummu sausage and french fries dish), and obviously green sauce on everything and to go =)
