Lissy's Graduation Party

Beautiful backyard party for Lissy's high school graduation! Even with caterers (first time ever??), still lots of good mom cooking and tons of baked goods:

Yummy Friday meal w John,Yayone, and Jenn at Jacob's Pickle. Started w this assortment of pickled items - carrots, jalapenos, cucumbers, and green tomatoes, all good:

Then fried chicken and honey and hot pickles on a biscuit w cheese grits:

Sandwich was decent - biscuit was too crumbly, chicken wasn't as juicy as I'd like, and the grits were way too liquidy...still can't find the southern meal of my dreams up here!

So Calle Ocho is great - best bread basket (got hooked on their cornbread muffins)

This dish which was like...steak, avocado, pork fried rice, and a soft egg. Yes healthy eating. And unlimited sangria...:)

And then went to see this UWS apartment and it was amazing and I loved it and then went out for dinner w Maria to Flor de Mayo which is like, the most random restaurant ever. They serve Cuban, Chinese, and Peruvian food...I Yelped and everyone raved about the lomo saltado so that's what I got:

Stir fried beef, onions, tomatoes, and french fries on top of yellow rice - SO FRICKIN DELICIOUS. If I move here, I'll be getting this for dinner way too often :)
